Terrible attack in Swat: Ten martyred killed, 53 injured in two bomb attacks
On Monday, ten(10) people were martyred and 53 injured in twin bomb blasts at a police station of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Swat Kabal district. According to Rescue 1122 Swat, the injured were shifted to Saidu Sharif Headquarters Hospital. The blast destroyed the entire building of the CTD police station and a rescue operation is underway to get the people out. All major hospitals in Swat have been declared an emergency.
Condemnation of the Prime Minister and the Minister of the Interior

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the blast at the CTD police station in Swat Kabal district. He expressed grief over the precious lives lost in the incident and prayed for the martyrs to have a higher status in heaven, sympathizing with the bereaved. The Prime Minister also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and ordered to provide them with all possible medical care. He asked the concerned authorities for a report on the incident and said that the entire nation congratulated the martyrs for their sacrifice.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah also condemned the blast and expressed grief over the precious lives lost in the blast. He sympathized with the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. The home minister promised to remove the scourge of terrorism from the country and demanded a report on the incident.
Emergency measures by the interim prime minister and the Ministry of Health
Interim Prime Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan strongly condemned the blast and urged the relevant authorities to speed up rescue and relief operations and provide better medical services to the injured. He assured the families of the martyred police officers that the government will never leave them alone.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Mahmood Aslam Wazir announced that various hospitals in Swat received 10 dead bodies and 53 injured, eight of which are critical. The Ministry of Health of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has declared a health emergency in the Swat district and kept all hospitals in the red color. Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar has also been put on high alert to deal with emergencies. All employees in Swat were ordered to report to their places of work and Regional Blood Center Swat was mobilized to immediately supply hospitals with blood and blood products. ICUs and ICUs of Saidu Sharif Teaching Hospital (SGTH) have been put on red alert and availability of all necessary medicines and machines has been ensured. The district health officers and doctors have also been urged to maintain a good buffer of medicines and consumables in the health facilities under the jurisdiction so that they can respond well to any adverse situations.
